These companies must have heard that I turned 50 awhile back...now I get emails, promo stuff in the mail....All trying to tempt me into buying this stuff.
Sure...I have a bit less energy and drive today compared to a few years ago but who doesn't?
Has anyone tried these supplements with any success ???? I sure don't need a 3rd testicle or to lose my nice head of hair!

I wouldn't try it without consulting your doctor first, I take a supplement from gnc called mega men. Daily vitamins plus energy and metabolism booster.

Much like weight loss pills that promise miracles, they're all snake oil. I wouldn't try them if they where free.

Normal testosterone level are determined by a blood test, I would check with a Urologist, I did last year when I had a urinary tack infection. Other drugs may interact with testosterone, including prescription..

Snake oil on all of it. Like mentioned above go get blood drawn and have your T checked. Glad I did, my T was less than 100. Ive been using androgel for a yr feel much better now.

hmmm.... testosterone supplements advertising
isn't that the sort of crap that follows you home after looking at girly pictures on the net :poke:

Exercise regularly, eat healthy, drink moderately and have as much sex as you can. That will keep your T level up !!!!

Drink? I don't drink much at all. I'll consider trying all of that other stuff though...

Leave supplements up to the doctors, Mega men is a good daily and I take it because I am not as responsible as I should be with eating a balanced diet, but comparing blood work pre and post supplements is no change, not even a little lol, but they make my wife feel better so I swallow them horse pills every morning...
As my dr says it, you pass 95% of that supplement through urine, but if it makes my wife sleep better Ill sleep better so take them, they cant do much harm, lol... Only thing he warned me about was iron, men shouldnt take iron supplements for some reason, its like poison to us.

He also recommended a few that do make a difference, high grade omega 3's (fish, borage and flaccseed oils) and coq10, both are gel pills, and both have changed my cholesterol and heart associated levels... for the better...

One more note, as older men, we should wake up and do some stretching, then walk a bit at lunch time, and before bed do a quick work out.

So I wake up and before breakfast I do 10-15 minutes of stretches, easy stuff, bed over touch tows, lye down and flip his and shoulders in opposite directions, push left and right.

then at some point in the day when the weather permits I will do a 20 minute walk

and at night I do 3 sets of 10 dumb bell curls (50# each side), 3 sets of 10 bench press 200#, 3 sets of 10 chest supported midrows 200#, 3 of 10 tricep extensions 150#, and 3 of 10 squats 200#
I do that 5 nights a week minimum of 4 times and it sounds like a lot but it honestly takes me about 65 minutes... And for says that I am a bit sore or dont feel like pushing and pulling, I hit the bag for 30 minutes...
I do it while I watch 2 episodes of the simpsons, I love that show..

You are just poisoning yourself with suppliments, eat as raw as possible, get a H.P. Blender and throw in a Pineapple followed by all your favorite vegetables , i use a brocoli, a celleri, a cucumber and baby spinach. Breakfast sees 4 eggs, no yoke, oatmeal and an orange. Supper is sardines on a sliced up tomato and and half a chopped onion. I snack on popcorn and frozen blueberries sprinkled with cacao powder. I have accepted that at 60 i have limited energy as well as slow recovery. I exercise 5 minutes every day.

I think I would rather die early than eat sardines every day.

We all have our methods, I eat red meat once a week, I would like to eat it every day but then I may not live long enough to continue eating it, and I only live all week for that 1 day, everything else is to make up the time until I get ot eat steak again.. :)

seriously though if that diet fulfills you and satisfies you and you dont miss anything or crave it or go without, than that is great, but i have to enjoy eating, tonight I had a nice piece of salmon with no skin, some sauteed pees, onions, and mushrooms, a slice a rye bread toasted on the griddle wiped in olive oil and garlic. A glass of red wine and some seltzer water that I took up to do my workout...

the night before was steak night, had my 12oz of steak (may have been 16 oz, but my sale is broken on sundays) and some roasted to perfect brussel sprouts and asparagus, again red wine...

night before broccoli and carrots with a thick soup

night before pizza with grilled chicken banana peppers, and pineapple

Its not hard to eat right, but i feel like some people get tied up in it and forget to enjoy your meals, not talking about you specifically, just looking at your menu I think I would rather shut my pecker in the window....... again...

this

I've really narrowed it down....sardines eat plankton, no poisons! Stats show alcohol takes 5 years off your life, cooking food taste better but destroys nutritional value, most people die of malnutrition!

Are you looking for a little more 'lead in your pencil' or just a general pick-me-up?
Sounds like maybe a few tweaks to your diet and maybe you are slightly deficient in iron. Balanced diet, regular exercise and getting the right amount of sleep will work better than any supplements or pills long term.
Pills are a fad, and diets are only a short term gain, which ultimately fail unless there is an imminent threat of death from deviating from it.
