When I rebuilt the 11" drums on the '69 R/T I ordered the later '70 parts with the self adjusters so i don't have to mess with manually adjusting the brakes.
The self adjuster kit used a long green lower spring (need to get all the parts if converting to self adjusters, the cable, adjuster lever...
Clam shell puller works good for removing the pinion bearing without damage.
I have been thinking of trying to measure out the spacer thickness. I have a new Dr Diff 489 case, 3.55:1 gears and Tru-Track diff I need to put together.
Been thinking of just measuring the distance from the pinion...
I did not like the header connector used to connect the circuit card. Nothing to retain it to the circuit card pins.
Had one come off and had to take the entire light apart to re-connect it.
Yes! Did the "Right Stuff" conversion on the 1969 Coronet. It came with generic parling brake cables that might work on a 1971 and up B or E body, where the brake cable is centered. On the '69 where the brake cable is on the drivers side, the original style replacement cables are close, but...
You will need to check piston to valve clearance as the flat top pistons don't have valve reliefs in them.
If you haven't bought the pistons, I just noticed the Summit brand pistons. Uses the smaller / lower friction 1.5mm x 1.5mm x 3.0mm ring package.

The 4.25" stroker kits (505" @ 4.350" overbore, or 512" @ 4.375" bore) are pretty easy to build. The crank pins are 2.20" GM size, so the rod big ends usually clear the bores without needing to be notched.
I haven't bought a Stroker kit from Hughes, so I can't comment on that. Got CNC heads...
If the switch is like on my 1969 Coronet, Example: the ballast resistor start and run connections can be connected together. The power to the starter relay is a different circuit in the ignition switch. It might be better to connect the start and run wires together after running through...
You can use different pistons. You need to make sure the piston pin size is correct for the rods you have.
If the new pistons are a different weight it will throw off the balance, so the assembly might need to be rebalanced.
I removed the engine bracket, bolted the motor mount to the bracket and then drilled a 3/8" hole through both the mount and bracket. Countersunk the motor mount side for a flat head cap screw, and then used a locking nut on the engine bracket side, and allowed about 0.010" clearance between the...
If spring loaded and rests in the center and can be moved both front and back it is a convertible top switch for cars with the rallye dash option.
If it just switches without returning to center, then rear defrost for rallye dash option. The standard dash has a place for a rocker switch for...
I really need to find a place that makes custom length cables. First, the rear brake cables I am using are the factory replacement drum cables, not the cables that come in the "kit".
The main difference in length is where the cable would have gone into the drum backing plate to where the cable...
I used the Dakota Digital fan controller (the older version without bluetooth). I was able to just tap into the factory sending unit wire and the controller can be calibrated to work with any sensor. I'm don't know if it works with the factory mechanical gauge regulator? My Instrument voltage...
Sounds like 16 year old me. Cheap headers, the Thrush round straight through mufflers and long home made leaf spring shackles on the '67 Coronet with a 318, 284/0.484" Mopar purple cam, a used Edelbrock Streetmaster intake, and Super Shops "new"/rebuilt Holley 600 4-bbl.
55 year old wiring, what could go wrong
I bought new harnesses for the Coronet Convertible. The corrosion in the bulkhead connect for the headlight circuit caused the crimp to heat up and become loose. Headlights would work for a few minutes, the contact crimp would heat up and loose...
Nice Coronet. I really like the 500 trim and lower blackout.
See the dreaded intake not fitting problem.
On my decked 451 engine with B-1 B/S heads and M1 intake, I had to take 0.100" off both sides of the intake.
I thought 440s and Hemi, but it is a good upgrade to prevent vapor lock.
Put 3/8" supply with a 5/16" return for EFI on the Coronet.
Used the Spectra CR9CFI fuel tank with internal fuel pump. Amazon is showing 1 for $468.82 + $65 shipping.
Out of stock at Summit and a few other places on a search?
I did a quick search for converter rebuilders in your area, and looks like there is a place called Oregon Torque Converter (541)741-0859
Since your looking for close to factory high stall, they might be able to make you a semi-custom one for near the cost of a factory rebuilt one.
Some places...
