Just a quick one. My upper bolt on my power steering pump bracket goes through the timing cover. Im going to convert to manual steering. Does this bolt go into a water jacket and I will need to drain coolant or does it just go through the timing cover and i will be fine? Thanks in advance!
Im thinking of a PST 16:1 manual steering box. Another question. Do these come pre centered so i can just put my pitman arm on the way it is, or do i have to find center when i get it hooked up?
Thanks!
Hey everyone!
My 66s steering box is so sloppy and shot. I would like to go with manual steering instead of power steering. What all do I need to convert it? A friend of mine said an adaptor is needed. I would appreciate any info you can give me!
Thank you!
Hello everyone,
I have a 66 Coronet 440 with the two spoke steering wheel. One of the horn button bolts is broken off and one has a sheetmetal screw through it so of course i have no horn because it hangs down. I have ordered one of these...
It's just a 1966 Ohio plate that's rare.. They were typically given to government officials and such.. My buddy collects cool rare licence plates and gave me that one.
These were last fall and I forgot to post them.. My 66 coronet and then a few on my girlfriend with it.. We plan to have better clothing next time haha she just wanted to pose with it!
I am looking for a decent set of 66/67 charger / coronet 500 rocket moldings.. The 440 ones are made of unobtanium and I like the looks of the 500 ones better anyhow. The repops are semi pricy and I think they may even be a little to nice for my car.. Does anyone have a decent set of these...
I had to have my car towed home today... after punching it i was greeted with a cloud of smoke following me... was pouring transmission fluid out of the bell housing... whats the best way to drop the trans and what could be leaking like that? it ran out of fluid so it cant be minor lol ive been...
The axle turns...if i loosen the third member..how much stuff will come out? also how heavy is it so when i do get the axle out i can replace the gasket... i figure you may need a jack?
i have some more eye candy for you guys!
So a few months back me and my gf took it to the drive in...so many people talked to me..we used the window speaker and all! haha
Heres a nice fall picture...
and heres our patriotic mopars..not all are older but still fun anyhow...
I think youre right..i didnt see any down there anyhow... ill probably just buy a length....i have a steel one thats 1" thats too big..i use it for a leverage bar
I know im just kidding :P haha..it was kinda frustrating to have the drivers side come out so easy..but it allows me to do more stuff to the other side....so its good :happy7: i think we have some left over copper pipe in the basement..ill have to check...if not ill go to the hardware store and...
Its open carrier..its a diff..the wheels go opposite if you move one... if i shine a light down the tube where i got the drivers side one out..i can see the end of the other axle...so that may work... gotta find a pipe..BFH isnt a problem though..like all the troubles in life..when in doubt get...
Adjuster nut? i have the other side out..all 5 nuts are off the axle..it came out a bit and hung up..i tried heating it close the the backing plate with my torch with no results.
