I am thinking of upgrading the rear drum brakes on my 65 belvedere II to 11x 2 1/2" rear drums. Will this upgrade be possible without any modifications. ? Will it reduce the tire size in the wheel well opening. What would be the best brake shoe to use ? I already have disk brakes on the front...
Not sure what you want pictures of ? I do not have my frame connectors yet. Send me a PM with your email and I will try and send you the picture Bill at US Tools sent me.
Bill at US Tool said that the connectors will work with the max wedge exhaust with dumps. He is currently at SEMA but will return next week. His number is 919=855-8200. I need to contact him to see how my connectors are coming along.
I am having US Tool make a set to fit with my max wedge exhaust on my 1965 Belvedere II. Call them, they are great to work with. My connectors will be bolt on , since my interior is already setup.
I have installed a quick silver shifter in my 1965 plymouth console. Only had to modify the underneath of the top plate. looks stock from the top. I had a problem with Imperials linkage being too light and bending. I went through 2. No problem so far with the Quick Silver so far.
did you check the front spring hangers? I changed my springs to super stock springs and changed the front hangers. I also had a vibration after I did this change. The supplier sent me spring hangers for a 65 dodge, which are 1" longer than needed for a 65 Plymouth. Therefore the driveshaft was...
I might have a set of 2" TTIs off my 65 Belvedere II, also a 3" X pipe. reducers also have bungs installed. They are not perfect, but very excellent shape for being about 7 years old. I am going to switch to Max wedge exhaust system. Not sure of price, but will be a lot cheaper than new.
I carefully peeled the raised 318 number metal decal out of my 65 Bel II ornament. Currently having it rechromed because it was pitted, and I have a 426 decal that I am placing in the area where the 318 number was. You can check with a guy named Charlie Quarters at [email protected] who has a...
I believe it is a decal. My 65 ornament had a 318 decal that I am changing to 426. The decal has to be taken off very gently so as not to scratch the ornament.
dash
I used GCAR to do the dash on my 65 Belvedere II, and they did an excellent job. They polished the plastic clear widows, and fixed a burn mark. I also purchased some left over pieces from Mr. G had on his website. He no longer does the chroming, but had some leftover stock. Not sure what...
I have been looking for the same clips for my 65 Belvedere II. I found one on ebay, but still looking for more. Not easy to find. I sent a message to RT specialties with a photo, still waiting on a response.
The steering wheel on my 1965 belvedere II moves up and down about 1/4 inch. It does not affect anything when driving, but just bothers me. I am told that a snap ring might not have been installed when the previous owner built the car. I would like to fix this, but do not know where to start or...
OK. But I believe the hangers you are recommending are for a dodge and not a plymouth. I see that mancini is offer hangers for a 65 Plymouth on their web site.
