A little background on this car. This car was actually my rival way back in high school. Everyone always wanted us to line up because he had a 440 and I had a 72 camaro with a pretty mean sb with nitrous. Ironically we never raced each other, he sold the car and now I am building it. Plus the guy now works for me. Car was an original 440 500 car with a/c and it somehow turned into what you see here.
The build specs:
540 cu in keith black aluminum block
billet crank
mgp aluminum rods
diamond pistons
indy 572-13 heads
billet comp cam
isky ez roll lifters
smith bros pushrods
t&d shaft rockers
aviad dry sump setup
indy intake
csu blow through 1000 cfm dominator
twin precision gt47 88 turbos
turbosmart wastegates and bov's
custom built intercooler
rossler xhd 210 transmission
protorque converter
carbon fiber pst driveshaft
custom 9 inch rear end with mark williams 40 spline setup. 3.70 gear
and a lot of time fabricating
here are some pictures, this is where the project was taken over from the original owner and turned into the twin turbo nightmare
the start of the new cage chassis, put a lot of effort into hiding the cage within the body lines of the car, obviously nothing will hide a funny car cage though
the dash is split in two, the top half is now permanent and the bottom half comes out on dzus fasteners to access where all the electrical and computers will be
more to come
