69RR hood stripes

Guys,
Thinking about having my current black hood stripes re painted.
Again, what is the paint type used for the hood. Had it redone when I was in Detroit about 12yrs ago.
Quality was an 8. Do not want just flat black. Help appreciated.
 
Black organisol. It's a lacquer, hard to find, and takes a bit of talent to get right.
I think the only 2 sources left since Alltrim quit are Tommy the Chryco and 8774paint1.com.
 
If I'm not mistaken, PPG can still mix it. As stated above it's tricky to apply, but looks great when done right.

Mopar Connection has a good article on Organisol black, including the formula for mixing it in urethane.

I painted mine with old school lacquer, but it's held up really well. To clean and detail it, I've found Lemon Pledge works pretty well
