I'm looking to add 8" x 15" wheels to the rear of my '70 b body. What is a good backspacing that will push a 255 or 275 tire close to the wheel well without going past it? Thanks!

4" backspacing (same as 0 offset on an 8" rim) will give you 4" either direction from the mounting surface..that's to edge of rim don't forget to account for sidewall bulge...4" fits easy and is tucked in and centered well in the space on my 68, with 8" rim and 275/60/15

Thanks! That looks great. Trying to bring my tire to the outside as far as possible like yours.

Just put 255's on a 15x8 Rallye rim, 4" backspacing on my 70 Satty.

How much room is left between tire and fender? That looks nice.

Thanks, I like it a lot. I just went out in the garage and measured. 1 3/4" to the inside edge of the fender lip.
