I found out the lower ball joint on my '73 Charger is loose in the control arm causing a popping noise. The joint is lose side to side but not up and down. It is the pressed in type. I'm guessing the hole was enlongated when we removed it.

Question is, should I weld the joint in place or should I go through the hassle of time another lower arm in attempt to do it right? I would like to one day convert to the magnum force transformer front suspension.

Also, does anyone make a tubular lower arm?

change it
welding it is hack and very possibly dangerous

Some Dodge trucks used to have that issue. For the trucks they made a oversize knurled ball joint. If it is real bad just replace the arm.
