I'm installing a fiberglass hoodscoop on my 67 Coronet and wanted to know if there was a trick for fitting it well to the hood. It doesn't seem to sit flush enough for my liking.

I see that. Is there a trick to make the scoop follow the hoodline?

No trick, bolt scoop down and look for area where you have no contact . Put tape on side of scoop and remove scoop. Build up areas with hair glass. level. sand and reinstall. A few trials necessary until you get a good fit.

Once you are able to build it up then your going to need to finish in light bondo. You lay scoop on hood, make sure the glue under neath is still holding sheet metal to frame, if not reglue. Then scrub on sides of scoop hi spots and low spots.
