numbers matching question

Hello I have a 1973 Charger the vin is 43441 but the engine and transmission numbers are 43331. I am wondering if this is original. I find it hard to believe that someone swapped out the engine and transmission with that close of a number. what do you think?

Could very well be original. I've encountered mis-stampings over the years.

Do the vin tag and fender tag agree?
I'd bet the vin tag is a misstamp.

Does the title match the dash VIN, Fender tag Vin, Door VIN, Build sheet? Then the date codes on the motor and transmission. All this will help to make a decision.

Thats just the block part number and the mold number
