What air pressures do you run on a drag strip ?
 
What type and size of tires?
How much power /how fast do you predict?
 
Have to check on that size. I have wrote down but can not put my hand on it right now. will have to get back to you. thanks for reply

Heavy car....some (many) will say that's too much pressure, BUT time slips don't lie.
If I run 8 psi, the slicks will wrinkle hard and the body will roll, too much. Traction is good at higher pressures and car is stable.....this is with proper burnout to warm them up.
 
I ran drag radials 275/60/15 and 235/60/15 at 20 psi . HP, track conditions,suspension set up all come into play.
Your results may vary.

It depends entirely on tire size, and type and suspension type. I'd like to run 15lbs with my 10.5x28 bias slicks, but they work better (for me) at 12 lbs. My 14x32 bias, I started at 6lbs, found they were more stable at 8 1/2, and still hooked great.
Gonna start my 315 drag radial pro at 20 lbs, and experiment from there.
In order, a leaf car, a ladder car, and a four link car.

Exactly, our 3800lbs RR, big wedge motor 720ftlbs@4400, c/tracs/mono's/9-ways, 10x29 Hoosier slick@17psi best 60 1.42.

I learned this many years ago back in 1991 when running my '69 Cuda with 14x32's@4psi cos everyone was running them like that, had a puncture and tyre guy must've pumped them to 6+psi, back @the track the launch was mighty, like someone hitting me in the back with a sledge hammer, broke the Tach off the dash and I aborted the run sadly.

need a bit more info goals, style & size of tires, class
street driven or strictly drag car etc.

opinions will vary
ask 20 people you'll get 15+ (or 20) differing answers
& 1/2 will be wrong, for your specific combo,
the day or track conditions

anywhere from 6-psi to as much as 9-psi with a bias slick
to 20psi with a Drag Radial
(hell I ran a lil' as 4 psi on Bias/33x15 in my altered, with liners & slicks screwed to the rims)
or anywhere in between,
I've been 6.69 @217 on 6 psi/bias 33x15 beadlocks on 2650# (35x17 latter on 2800#)
tube chassis car Top Sportsman/Outlaw P/S car,
no issues, handled fine left straight & level, hooked hard
stopped fine, especially with chute/s
I've been 9.77 @ 135 NA street/strip car, I drove to the track
or 8.58 @ 156 both on 315/60 Drag radials with just a rollbar,
dbl adj. Lambs, tubular UCA/LCA & a built/stroked 383/489cid on 300 shot N2O
on Calvert/CalTracs in a 3250# RR, 3500# w/driver on DRs @ 14-21 psi,
depending on conditions, RAD, gears & shocks or track prep even

There's not just 1 specific psi (settings) that works, for any tire or all cars
