I have 2 of these and am not sure where they go ? they look and feel like caulk that has taken a hard set. Possibly from rotating headlamp area ? thanks as always for suggestions and help

What kind of cars do you have? Man, those pieces of caulk/rubber look familiar. Are those maybe pieces of caulk or old rubber that goes over the seam on top of the rear wheel wells in the trunk? I know I've seen pieces like that before.

66 Charger, they actually have color of car over spray on them, tried to keep all related parts together when disassembled several yrs ago and these pcs were with head light bizz but, but the over spray just doesn't belong anywhere near the light assembly...........thanks for the replies
