Paging through the Year One catalog page 486 they have 3 different styles of scoops for these cars.Which one of the 3 would be right for my 64 Belvedere?1st is called 62-64 Max Wedge.2nd is called 63-64 Ramcharger and the 3rd 65-67 Superstock.Price wise they are much cheaper than any of the others.Anyone use one of these?

Depends on whether you want it to look like a Max Wedge or a Hemi car!

None of those are "correct" in dimensions from what I understand.

Kramer, from what I've been told, sells a Max Wedge replica that is in fiberglass but close to the original dimensions.

The Tynman (found on 62-65 website) will do one up in aluminum just like the originals for you.

I learned the hard way and ordered one from MAS when they were still in business and it's way to small. Kinda like a 2/3 scale replica!

Max Wedge original measurements:

They are roughly 24"w x 26"l.

Fiberglass Trends was 24" x 33"

MAS was 20" x 26" (way too narrow!)

Located about 3/8"-1/2" from the rear edge of the hood.

As for the Hemi, you're on your own but Scott Smith at Harms restoration is an expert in this area and used to have replica's hand made in Peru. He's always on Moparts.com....

Kinda leaning towards this style. What would this type be called and the best place to get it?

if you go with the hemi scoop make sure to get a 64 65 one 66 and 67 look very similiar but 64 65 scoop the rear edge towards the windshield on 64 65 have a curve like the rear edge of the hood 66 67 are straight on the rear edge aar fiberglass has them kinda pricey around 350.00 i believe last time i looked but i think thats about the going rate for a good quality scoop.

Jim Kramers is by far the best. One more scoop option that was available in 65 anyway, the taller A/FX scoop that was molded to the fiberglass hoods. This is a mold I have taken from an original Plaza Fiberglass hood.

Don't know where this one came from but the measurements are 33.5" wide in the front and 31" wide in the rear. Length on the sides is about 36" (35" in the center).

I looked into those a few years ago, at the time the price was $900US and a 12month wait.
I ended up borrowing a glass scoop to get the measurements and made my own(glass)........in terms of cash outlay, it owed me $70 by the time built it and got body color on it.

Since you have a Max Wedge motor, I would go for the Max Wedge scoop...suits the car very well in my opinion.
