Overpriced much???

Good luck to the guy.

You can own MY original, documented, 1 of 11 Hemi Coronet 2 door sedan for less than 1/2 of that. It is a 100% rust free, no hit, uncut, 3600 mile car.

Why one headrest ? .....WTF? ......I wish him luck, ...but I hope he likes it, ....because he will sit on this one a long, long time at this price !

Headrests were an option in 68 and early 69. I don't know for sure, but it seems like I remember reading somewhere you could order one for the driver alone. Anything built after Jan. 1, 1969 had to have them by law.

Hey 696pack, how rare is this one??http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plym...ewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item2ea9d509ee I think it would look pretty cool with torque-thrusts, and a max wedge!!!

Actually, not all that rare when it was new. There were a lot of stripped, basic transportation cars sold back in those days. Especially to older frugal farmers.

Anything that survives in that condition today though is rare. It is the kind of car that has more value as a donor for a Max Wedge clone or rebody these days. How many people want to own and drive that ugly car as a /6 three in the tree? A Max Wedge though is a whole other story. Kind of like my grandma grocery getter looking 66 Coronet.:tongueflap: A little different story though when it is a Hemi.

That is correct.

i would say the 68 gtx on ebay is a cool car because of its rare condition but thats the extent of the rarity i have seen another with one head rest also to bad it doesnt have the other head rest though maybe it would have prevented the guy from bumping his head...

THANKS TO YOU I JUST LAUGHED SO HARD THAT I GOT CHOKED ON MY BEER ! :rolling:

By the way that makes 3 GTXs with the Rare Single Headrest Option ! that means there's three "TARDs" out there that ordered them this way !!! :rolling:

Give the guy a break...just needs to move the decimal over one place to the left...then it would be a good starting point.

Well back in 68 when you were buying a new GTX and didn,t want the ole lady know whats under the hood you ticked off the whiplash option!:rolling:

:rolling::rolling:dont know how the price jumped somuch for 39,950 t 199.900 on 2 different websights. maybe he thinks we were all born yesterday?:rolling::rolling:

There was a few that wanted that option. I don't think I would have checked that option though. I see the reasoning though. My wife is not a happy camper when I decide to hammer on it and she has no clue its coming. The thing of 199K is a little out of line. You see these go for in the high 30s or 40ish with the 440. Looks like brain damage to me.
