I am trying to figure out which arm I would cut off for that car... I'll probably have dreams about this car. Good luck with the sale.

What makes it one of one, the previous owner? Otherwise the title to the post is very misleading as there is nothing else one of one about it. GGs REGISTRY is only for cars HE has recorded and certainly has no bearing on how many were built OR survive.

I agree with 696pak. I dont see anything to make it a one of one car....but surely is a great looking car.

Galen said it was built by Chrysler for Buddy.

A .020 over bore from the factory was not uncommon and in fact had a code of "A" on the ID pad.

I am not trying to rain on your parade but I really don't see anything that REALLY makes this car a one of one.

If it were me, I would concentrate on hyping the old NASCAR driver owned car rather that this 1 of 1 that many Mopar guys ATTEMPT to prove via a bunch of combination of things.

Looks like a nice car.

I'm sure you are more of an expert that Galen, but if He says it's one of one, then it is. And yes, my right arm would disappear in a hurry for this beauty.

The info I gave above comes directly from GGs white books.

Very nice car, I remember seeing it at Buddys on a tour. Too bad I can't find pictures now. 696pack might think it was worth more if Dale Jr. owned it, some people just don't get it. The cars worth more than any new car on the lot and always will be. You will find your buyer at that price. Don't let some of those trying to drive down the price of yours mine and even theres get to you good luck with your sale.

I certainly am not trying to drive the price down on this car or any other, In fact you seldom see me comment on values.

Apparently you missed my above post that says:

you have missed the point here of this car being a one of one which it is not. If you consider the original owner as a one of oe then EVERY car ever sold fits THAT description.

I'm a little confused about the " V code 383"

Bill,
Enlighten me on this. I have very little info or knowledge on the 65-back cars and don't really know the engine codes for these cars.

That's a nice one, no doubt about that. I wouldn't surrender an appendage though. First born, in a heart beat. I do believe the 1 of 1 is referring to it being the only one is GG's registry, not the only one built, since he does say "Decoded by Galen Govier being one of one in the registry."

1964 was the last year of the old letter series and "V" = 1964 just like "C" = 67, "E" = 69, etc. The block would be stamped "V" meaning a 1964 model year engine.

He's just trying to say it's an original model year engine for the car. It's about as close to 'numbers matching' as you can get for that year.
