Just wish to introduce myself and currently in Kuwait. I'm in the process of buying my very first Mopar car it's a 1969 Roadrunner. The guy I'm buying it from is in S.C. and I live in Washington. I'm just waiting for the $3,200.00 to post his paypal and then I'm going to get a transport company to deliver the car to my address in Wa. since I'm deployed I won't be able to work on this until my return sometime around June time frame. The previous owner says he has 2 383 motors that he's including with the car, 1 is stock 383 c.i. and the other is a 383 h.p. auto trans., he said something like an torqueflight 8? He probably means a 727 Torqueflight. I'll see when I return. Anyways my plan is to completely restore this diamond in rough to it's original factory specifications. First 4 digits of the fender tag is RM23, still waiting for him to give me the rest of the fender tag #'s.

Welcome to FBBO, we do love our RR's here... Thank you for you military service..., be cautious baying anything site unseen or not in person, there are way too many horror stories about that stuff & people being screwed... Good luck with your 69 RR project, we are all here to help, if you need it...

Welcome aboard!

Thanks everybody.

I wish to thank everybody on here for the warm welcome and yes I do plan on coming home alive and in one piece...LOL. I can sense my girlfriend :argue: over that one. But I always wanted a RR since my uncle had a 68 parked in front of our house without the Hemi engine and Trans. that was supposed to be in it originally. That was when I fell in love with that car back in 1979 or 80. When I returned back to Guam in 1989 the engineless Hemi RR was bulldozed to the back corner of our property and a pile of rust under alot of earth. Ever since then I told myself that I won't let that happen to my dream car. So now I'm glad to say that I finally own one and just waiting for the car transport to pick it up from the previous owner in Fountain Inn, S.C.
I do have some current pics of the car from the previous owner that I will be posting later in the meantime hang in there and thank you all for the warm welcomes and look forward to communicating with you all.

Welcome to the FBBO and Thank You for your Military Service! Also good luck on your project as well.

Thanks to everyone here and just to let everybody here know that the 69 RR being spoken about on this tread is no longer in my inventory ( backed out of this deal). I do have now a 1970 Roadrunner (see my photo gallery and don't forget to post comments).

I am assuming you are stationed here at JBLM. I did 6 years of active duty and now I am in the Reserves here in Tacoma. If you ever need any help/advice/someone to come over and drink beer while I look at your car just let me know! I am a mechanic at a local shop so I have quite a few tools and some knowledge.
