finally getting started on my new storage shop. bought it last november and brought it home. it is 48x32x18 in size. made of galvalume and 22 gauge. it was 8 bundles and 5900 lbs. came with engineered specs for assembly. the intended use of this building is storage for various cars/trucks and other toys. i currently have stuff stored in a couple of other places and outside here at home. i really want to clean up my main shop, 30x50x16 to the ceiling, up. it's a mess. i really gotta quit buying stuff or go on a selling binge.:eusa_think:

pics to follow
these 2 pics show the mess inside and a couple of the many other things to go in new building

the 2nd 2 are the start pic's

Wow Rick, Pretty cool! I wouldn't know what to do with all that room, love to give it a shot someday. Good luck with it.

at this point in my life i think it is an addiction more than a habit. lol

Nice. Most people would kill to have your current shop.
I know what you mean about needing to sell. My garage/shop is 30x88 and it's full. (Doesn't help with my bro-in-laws **** stored in there). I'm about to start storing stuff in my 24' car hauler until I can sort stuff out.
How many acres do you own? Looks like you have a beautiful spot.

thanks for the compliment. i have 30 acres. i know what you mean by stuff piling up. when this project is done i am going to start on my barn, 100x40. it is a mess also. i hope to tear out some hay mow, cap the floor and secure it. i only keep 2 donkeys here now for the better half and a part of it will make excellent parts storage, clean and dry.:eusa_think:

aint it weird how small everything looks until you walk inside the finished building?keep at it,doing great.

I helped a friend with one of those and yes it is all there.

Looking great Rick!! Keep er goin!!!

now thats funny

I helped a friend with one of those and yes it is all there.

when i bought the building last year i inquired about freight rate to deliver it and the answer was 650.00. i only live about 125 miles from the factory and my math told me that was 2.60 a running mile which is quite rich. i inquired about the weight and demensions and informed them i would p/u myself. they tried to talk me out of doing that and i said no i will p/u when ready. i informed them i have my own truck and the rate was way to much and they were still pushing delivery. they gave me a p/u date and me and a neighbor who is a retired mechanical engineer go up to get it. when we arrive and get loaded i asked the shipper there still has to be more to it and he replies no it is all there and says with a grin that most people say the same thing but it is all there. well he starts explaining the load to me and i tell him to explain it to my friend instead of me. about 5-10 min later bob the neighbor says its all there and i go in to sign the bill and the shipper is really chuckling now. he says that he goes through this situation all the time but i was the first guy to bring my own engineer to verify it. lol:headbang:

Nowadays,it's better to be safe than sorry.

up she goes

slowly but surely, step by step, inch by inch. more progress. this was a bit of a slug fest but got easier with each panel. 4 guys and me in the back hoe. one more day and then the end walls.:headbang:
