Hello from Iowa!
Mike here. Jumping in with my (new to me) 69 Road Runner 440 6bbl. Started with Mopars in the early '80 in high school (had a '68 coronet with a 440/A833/Dana 4.10 that ran like a scalded dog, a '73 340 RR, and an old Dart
), but got out of old cars when I went into the military in '85. Got out of the military in 2000, and have had one eye open for the right car for a bit.
My '69 was originally a 383/4 speed car. As the car has been set up as an A12 clone, it needs a Dana (currently an 8&3/4 4.10 Sure Grip) and a new flat black hood, but is an excellent restoration and includes a long list of nice extras (4 wheel disc brakes, AC, suspension goodies, etc.).
For this old fat man these days, my idea of a fun Saturday tinkering with my car is way more about an oil change and a thorough wash followed by a family trip to the Dairy Queen than it is contorting into pretzel shapes to chase down electrical problems under the dash, so looking for a finished car was the logical option. I'm going on 51 years old, and want to spend more time driving than fixing
.
Here's mine with my MoparHead cousin's '69 B5 RR:
