here is a link of her maiden voyage. It took 7 long years and way too much money to get her to this point, but atleast now I can drive her. belvy.jpg

sweet ride!so you think it will be about a week or so till you stop smiling?just got my pro street 67 coronet on the road after 5 year off and on build,so i know just how you feel.

Congrads..!
All looks great.

And, 7 years it not a long time when you (like me) have lots of other things to do!

Thanks for the compliments everybody. 7 years really isn't that long, but the back story to this project is like a Jerry Springer episode! Having two boys, work, an understanding wife, and life in general made this project seem like a marathon, but the grin on my face after completion is totally worth it. Next will be a new set of radial prostreet tires, some interior work, and eventually a bigger/better engine. All in due time, just hopefully not another 7 years! LOL

Cool looking ride, when I seen the car and your sons shirt I figured you was from Colorado (go Broncos). Love the orange

The color is called Omaha Orange. That is Collin and he was definitely my little helper and socket misplaced! Actually, I'm from San Diego, but my Wife's friend got him this shirt.

Great day today! Got to take my 64 to its first car show! Didn't win a trophy because it was mustang vs Camaro night, but I did have a constant crowd around all night. Definite sense of pride an a job well done. The money, time, and hardworking was all worth it.

You're going to be styling San Diego with that ride for sure. She's a beauty!

I live in the O.C. Where do you guys cruise down there. I'd like to bring my GTX down sometime and cruise and/ or show. I'm still at work on mine after 4 years. Should be finished soon. Then I'll smile like you!

I go to the El Cajon car show on Wednesday nights. Trying to go to the la mesa one this coming week too. The Escondido one is probably the best weekly one to go to on Friday nights.

That thing looks wicked, I love the paint and stance:grin:. I'm finally enjoying mine after owning it 10 years also and know the feeling, 2 little ones, job, and a very non understanding wife haha:angry1:. Awesome job on a beautiful car, enjoy the hell out of it. More pics please

Excellent! Well done!

747mopar, I think we might be married to the same woman! LOL She thinks it looks nice, but hates it with a passion. She just doesn't undertand how much is costs to build. oh well, she'll hopefully get over it with time. Too bad it has to sit for almost a year now. I'm in the Navy and headed out for a very long scheduled deployment. Hopefully I can save up some bucks and get the engine I want when I get back.

Well, it's been a while. Time for an update! Been driving her for a little while now, going to a couple cruise nights and actully won a best in show trophy! I had finally planned on swapping the cam out to a whiplash cam. So we tore down the motor a little bit and found out that I've been running it with 3 cracked valve seats in one head and 2 in the other! Not to mention the blown head gaskets. Need less to say it was time to rebuild her. So sent the cam back and now I'm building a 493 stroker. The block is stripped and ready for machining. Going to use the truck flow top end kit, skat rotating assembly, Icon pistons, and switching to FI tech fuel injection. Should be about 10.11 to 1. I cannot wait for it to be done!

That is one sweet ride! To bad about the engine but sounds like its going to plan and be better than ever! How did you get that block so clean?

Yo from the east county hood! Its good to see you back and good luck on the deployment. Thank you for serving.
