Bagger 293

The Bagger 293 is a giant bucket-wheel excavator made by German industrial company TAKRAF.

It holds and shares some records for terrestrial vehicle size among Earth moving machines in the Guinness Book of Records. To operate this monster of a machine, it needs a crew of five.

It can move over 8.5 million cubic feet of earth per day, which is the equivalent to digging a hole the length of a football field and over 80 feet deep in a day.

We just have these around here.

Every now and then one will cross a road.

Quite the spectacle.

They walk.

They are electric and drag a long power cable behind them.
