As I recall before Chuck Norris was named the champ in karate and the only westerner to achieve the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master, he actually lost ten fights, "the only losses of his career". Of course he avenged all of them and went on to become the bad *** he is today.

Perhaps very factual...
And then there was Bruce Lee who threw all of that out the window....
He didn't care about titles/ranking.
