After reading the posts in that link, the best way to keep our forums alive is to support the sites we belong to. Facebook will eventually take over and to the detriment of the hobby as we see it now. Facebook is for posting what you had for dinner or finding whacky misspelled memem's. Not really a credible outlet of information or research. Suckupberg can jam it where the sun doesn't shine. I only joined up for a FB account to get the bonus points on offer for our local footy competition...after that is plug pulling time.

Thanks polywideblock for the link. I had been a member of the RR.Nest forum for almost ten years . It didn't have a lot of traffic but it was a specific forum with loads of useful info and facts. It wasn't full of Babble like most of the forums out there. I don't do facebook !

Yes, the RR nest site probably won't be coming back. The owner just lost interest in the site - that's according to Bruce (one of the moderators) .
I too had a good thread going there (named "starting to work on my Clone runner") I guess I'll have to start a new thread here.
