hey everyone i just joined the site and also just bought my first MOPAR a few weeks ago. She is a 69 coronet 500, all original numbers matching 383 auto with 75k original miles on her! I did my first patch panel on her on the back window tray because it was all rotted out, she's just about to have the window put back in. I have a few little things to do to get her road ready like turn signal switch and windshield wipers but she's getting there little by little. I noticed today it doesn't have a dip stick or dip stick sleeve so if anyone knows where i could pick one up it would be greatly appreciated! I'm new to working on cars like this myself and am not too framiliar with a lot of things so i appologize if i seem ignorant at times. Looking forward to hearing from everyone and seeing everyone's projects!

Here are some pics of my lady and the patch I fixed it was my first time so its not perfect but i think it came out ok.

Had one in the 70's one of my favorite cars. Good luck with yours.

69 BB 500! Nice. Air? Looks good.

All the better. Good score. We have plenty of Bees and R/T's. 500's are really less common and sweet with those wheels and trim. Many are 318's. You got the real deal. Make sure everything works and drive and enjoy.

Welcome to the site and mopars! Let's see more pictures

Thanks everyone! I'll be sure to post more pictures as I go along!

Welcome to FBBO - glad you joined and that's a nice looking Coronet-needs a little work but looks like you're well on your way

Great job on fixing the back window rot. Its going to be a nice car when you are done.
Look real close at the dipstick hole to make sure someone didn't snap it off flush with the block. Ive seen this happen a couple of times.
When you install the new dipstick tube put it in the freezer for a couple of hours, the tube will shrink a little. Put a tad of sealer on it sometimes you can slip it in. If not grab an open end wrench I want to say 3/8" and put open end on the lip and take a hammer and tap the wrench by the tube that way it should go in straight and not look mangled. Best of luck to you.

Since you are in the area, are you going to delete the vinyl roof and associated trim?
No one knows everything.
I always have to tell owners of a 69 500 that it was my first car.
I like um.

there you go again..jpg

Welcome from Pittsburgh. That's a real nice Coronet 500! 383 makes it even sweeter!
