The only flaw in that theory is the length of the burst in the Vegas audio was much longer than in this guy's video. Obviously the authorities know what weapons he had & it will eventually come out.

Length of fire is based on magazine capacity. You can get 100-rd drum mags for AR-15s. You can also convert them to fire using a continuous belt.

I don't see really objective news coverage anywhere. I have some direct experience with event news coverage and it is NEVER completely accurate or without spin.

I think we're all getting different numbers. Last I heard (on Fox), there were 17 at the hotel (16 rifles & 1 handgun) and 18 firearms (breakdown unknown) at his residence. That's a shitload of firearms for someone who is supposedly not a big firearm enthusiast and who has lived a relatively normal/quiet life.
As for Tom Petty, I am bummed beyond belief. What an incredible singer with a such a unique voice/style. I hate to see the passing of such a great performer like him overshadowed by such a horrific tragedy. RIP Tom.

I have 12 vehicles, and could run down a lot more than the latest tragedy......so, what's the point about the number of firearms? I've never counted my knives or ball-peen hammers. For that matter...how many people have been killed by purposeful airplane crashes?....by foreigners who learned to fly here, then overtook planes full of people, with box-cutters? THE WORLD ISN'T A SAFE PLACE.

What difference does it make weather they were registered or not? It still wouldn't have stopped him! Besides, NV. doesn't have any registration rules like CA. You walk in and say I want to buy that. Fill out paperwork, they make a phone call and report persons info and other stuff, and it either comes back, approved, delayed, or denied. And out the door you go with or without gun.
Registration is for pussies, besides, I will not comply as that's a unconstitutional law.
