Allow me to jump in this awesome rides chat...looking for a '62 Plymouth dash bezel if anyone has one they would part with. Thx!
 
Can you post some more pictures. It is so interesting some of the trim seems identical to the Fury while some is so unique. The later 62 Furys have similar belt molding across the top of the fenders and doors. But i have never seen the trim piece on the rear quarter over the bumper. I would like to see some front and rear shots as well as the instrument panel

When in Ocala next week for Garlits mopar meet i can check with Joe. Are you looking for the plastic piece that holds the gages? if so manual or automatic, also do you know which one i believe there were 2 that were completely different
 
Last year I traveled 1200 miles to Carlisle only find a grand total of 5 62s and only one convertible

Were you talking Plymouth or Dodge? I was there and don't remember any Dodges this year. I try to make it every year and like you stated, you're lucky to see any '62s.

Talking about trim packages, they are all over the place. It's really amazing that they created all of that tooling, just to use it for one year and scrap it all! There isn't a lot of body parts and trim that is interchangeable between the Dodge and Plymouth either. Not as many as you would expect anyway. It was almost like the Dodge designers and the Plymouth ones didn't talk between each other very much.

Have you seen any Canada cars? They are interesting in how the two swapped some parts, especially the guage pods. More so in the later years.

Here's the back of my Polara 500. The 500 had the backup lights in the trim above the bumper. The 440 model had the trim but the backup lights were above the lower tail light. All of the other models didn't have the trim above the bumper. The decorative piece on the side changed from model to model too or didn't use them at all. The trim on the belt line on the 500 was two pieces of trim with the interior color paint in between.

Wow from the side it resembled the Fury but from the back its a completely different car. With that closer pictures i can see the belt molding is much different. Because of how they flattened out the fins of the Fury the rear belt moldings ran on the top of the fender the same as the front. As far as Carlisle i tried to look at as many older cars as i could but was really focused on the 62 Fury because i was trying to piece mine back together. As i reassemble it i still find i am missing parts i didn't know i needed.

See how Dog has the same interior as mine but his has the Deluxe steering wheel. The options were all over the place. The Polara 500 was the High End vehicle and you will notice that mine has no power anything and no radio. It was buyer ordered that way.

Sometimes the hunt is the best part of building the car. As we all know 62 parts can be hard to come by at a fair price. Last Christmas me and my daughter drove 2000 miles round trip in 3 days to West Virginia for parts. We also took a family trip to Hershey just for Carlisle turned out to be the best family trip ever. And sometimes you get a good score on Ebay. Picked these babys up for eighty a piece. Caps are worth 20 each seals and and wiring at least 8 and there was no way i could have got mine rechromed for 32 dollars each. So it was a good NOS buy
