70 rr what do you think about it

Why are the tips sticking out so far ? It is a 70 runner, they are the coolest IMO ... 900 lift mild cam ?

Wow. The price seems high to me. I've got questions. Why does someone "blueprint" and engine and only then drive the car 100 miles? (And do they really have a clue what blueprinted really means?) What happened that made the owner suddenly change his mind and instead sell the car? What issue(s) does it have? Is it truly a rust free car? It doesn't say that explicitly in the ad, but for that money, it better be. Also, the title is listed as "Rebuilt, Rebuildable & Reconstructed". Why? Perhaps it is not as original and untouched as it seems?

So it seems the 4 speed was replaced with an auto. By briefly looking under the car, it was likely born with a standard suspension and 3.23 rear. At least some of the A/C stuff is missing.

Not bad bones for a 70 Road Runner, and I agree, they are awesome (I have a Limelight 70 Air Grabber myself). It just seems like a lot of money to me for a car that makes me wonder...

10k tops, and that much only if you can't live without it. Don't buy it sight unseen either. Just my .02.

Those explanations on the title normally mean
was a total loss by a insurance company.
Once maybe stolen & recovered or due to
flood etc.

Looks like a lot of body filler to me, roof, around the back window, fenders, something is up with the trunk lip, green on the taillights, was given a quickie respray, who knows how much else is hidden. Definitely too much...

He will drop his asking price 8 grand?

Price is a bit high, but keep in mind California cars bring a premium. If it doesn't need any body panels replaced you are way ahead of the game.

Take someone with you and look at it in person, then maybe an offer. Seeing the exhaust tipsin that position, makes you question the rest of the build work.

While I agree the price is high, people saying 7500 to 10000, can you provide a link to a running driving 1970 road runner for that price?

I've probably said this a thousand times; any b body under 30 grand is far from perfect. At 19 grand this might be a good buy. A bit suspicious that he is willing to drop 8 grand off his asking price.

Another A/C 4 speed car.

Interesting.

You will need to slot the bumper so the tips can be mounted.... Looks like the trunk floor had some kind of patch welded in look at the far right of the trunk pic and also why it's painted black...Lots of the A/c stuff is missing. Grille is broken, No drip rail or window trim, Missing jack assembly wrong valve covers, unknown engine specs(900 lift cam LOL), Missing 4 speed set-up. Very poor pictures which probably means lots being hidden...Reconstructed Title kills value... Price seems way high if it were "Truly" original with the 4 speed still in it, all the A/C stuff and the correct parts, numbers matching then maybe 15-17k with the title issues(reconstructed)...

Hard to see for certain, but looks like it was originally a blue exterior.

If you got it for under 19k I’d say that is a decent deal. I got my 70 for 10k and it was a mostly complete roller at the time with no drivetrain, no regrets. 70RR commands decent money, but look on the bright side...less than 2nd gen chargers
