Hello,

Was told I should introduce myself to boost credibility so here goes
I have been looking for my first mopar (and first car) for almost a year now (low budget), mostly been focusing on a-bodies but as of late my budget has increased and I am now turning towards b-bodies as well (Specifically 66-67, and even more specific a 66 charger). The people who introduced me to mopar are A-body guys so if I am fortunate to get a B-body I will most likely be relying on this site. For the time being though my only posts will mostly likely be links to things I cant afford, or dont need, but seem like good deals, So if there overpriced junk in your eyes, I apologize in advance. Also hoping to learn a few things about mopar, especially B-bodies, so look I forward to learning a thing or two.

Sincerely, Haugljoe

Ok there ya go

Welcome from a fellow Washington mopar owner!!

G'day mate, if you dont mind me asking, Ive always been curious about Australian mopar, did you ship all you cars to Australia or did they originate there?

Cool, you in the Seattle area?
Eastern Washington. Pasco.

Welcome Haugljoe from the other side of the States!

Keep looking, you'll find something. We need some of the younger generation to continue the hobby!

Thanks, yep the way I see it the longer it takes the more my budget increases and the more likely I am to get the car I really want. and between me, my two cousins, and my 3 brothers we got at least my area covered on keeping the hobby going, LOL.

There's deals out there. You have to look high and low. Don't spend your hard earned money on a rusted out piece of crap. Find something fairly solid. The least amount of rust the better. The mechanical work is easy compared to replacing a bunch of rusted out sheet metal and frame work. Unless you like doing that kind of work. More money and labor to get it done.

Trust me I look High and low then Higher and lower, and ya I dont want to touch rust with a ten foot pole, luckily Washington isnt notorious for it. And I should mention that my uncle owns a mopar supply shop so Im not compeltely on my own, hes been helping em look, sad thing is hes an A-body guy so he trys to steer me that way.

:welcome: from the foothills of NE Tennessee.
As you're finding out, Mopars ain't cheap cars to fix up. You can probably do two early Mustangs for the price of one Mopar.
I echo the others (and from my own experiences) when I say get the most solid body you can afford. An original unmolested
car would be ideal, even if it's "just" a lesser slant 6 or 318 car.
As you know from your uncle, most of the hard mechanical parts are available - lots of model-specific trim is not.
