After the "lot of car" comment the guy said: Nice Camaro! Without hesitation I told him in no uncertain terms that Chevy never made anything that exciting.
I busted my *** working on that car. It was at deaths door when the guy I bought it from bought it. He got it to the point of being a painted shell and then wanted to do something else. His loss in my opinion. They're all my babies but have, I guess, special affection for this one because it has had such a rough life and is now a beautiful cool as **** car.
Not sure I deserve being liked for driving this car but thanks!

Had a 71 340 Cuda for a little over 15 years after buying it in 86. It was the best donut car I ever had and it even handled pretty dad gum well with a hint of over steer which I like. Selling it was a dumb mistake.

I've been trying to think of more comebacks for your wife on this subject. I love when people see me detailing a car for hours at a car show and ask if that's my car. Or I'm putting gas in it at a gas station...no, this is someone elses car and I'm just good natured and am putting gas in it out of the goodness of my heart. I'm sweating my *** off detailing someone elses car...Here's your sign!

My experience is in line with Richard Carpenters' description of his 1970 (?) 'Cuda 440 six pack which he said road like a buck board. Doesn't bother me but it's night and day compared to a 69 Charger or a 72 for that matter.

Well the 340 E cars came with the TA steering setup and all had the rear sway bar along with the front. Mine actually rode pretty decent and it was a long way from riding like a Buckboard. Friend of mine at the time had a 440 Six Pack 4 speed 71 Cuda and that car did ride a bit harsh.

Well, I quit going to the local shows with mine so.....the morons were out of the picture but I do have a friend that keeps on trying to act like he's in the 7th grade with that crap. Usually he starts spewing the hate towards Mopars when he's riding in one of mine but it doesn't take much to shut him up when I pull over and ask him if he wants to get out lol.

My Roadrunner definitely "rides" harsher with the subframe connectors, torque boxes, split mono leaf springs, sliders, and Street Xtreme 3 way adjustable Viking rear shocks...
Now to be fair, I don't mind first and foremost, but the only adjustment I have made to the 3 settings on each rear shock is an initial "guess" based on the chart that came with the shocks. I have quite a bit of adjustment left to soften the ride, and to be fair, my old rear leaf springs were seriously shot.
@QOTHL ...I was wondering how long it would take until you were "outed"...
