I don't see myself ever wanting to swim with sharks-on purpose. Seen a few diving and it creeped me out.
Just wanted to tell my dive buddy "See you later chum".

A few years ago, we were headed back home from a day out fishing offshore. It was a very calm day and I always keep an eye out for large Manta rays that often have other fish, namely Cobia, swimming with them. I noticed a big dark shape in the water and I turned the boat and stopped parallel to the current line that the shape was moving along. Both of us on the boat grabbed our rods and went up to the bow of the boat. As the shape got closer, I could see it was no ray. When it got even with the boat it turned 90 degrees and swam almost under where we were standing. I could then see it was a huge shark. It turned over on its side and it looked up at us with it’s huge eye and we both said Great White at the same time. I went to get my camera and when I got back the shark was gone. My friend said he just went down deep.
This shark was at least 14 feet long.

Dont think that you live somewhere colder that they are not out there!!!.....several Great Whites have been spotted of the South UK coast since 2017 with fairly regular sighting off Hayling Island (about 15 miles away)and one off Selsey Bill....the next village along to mine! I always keep an eye out when I'm on my surf canoe...Id love to see one.....just not too close up!!
