This is not a post about masks, mandates or anything else of the sort, let's keep it that way..

Last week we embark on our vacation to Summerville lake WV with the boat, we set up camp looking forward to a fun filled day of boating, cliff jumping and swimming but instead I wake up sick. No biggie, it was damp and cold.. no surprise. Sinuses cleared up pretty quick then my dumbass forgets my earplugs and jumps off a cliff, instant pain (my ears don't like water). In absolute misery I have the wife drop me off at the dock to get some Ibuprofen.. problem solved. Felt good enough to finish out the day and had a blast with the kids.

Finished off the weekend still being sick, typical seasonal head cold.. again no biggie. Monday I get a call to inform me that both of my Maintenance guys would be out until their Covid test came back.. errr. Do to our staggered hours this means long work days for me so I'm not thrilled especially given the amount of work I have lined up at home.

Now it's Friday, I took vacation next week to put the footer in for our attached garage and still no call! Already cancelled the mini excavator rental for the weekend and am wondering if I'll even get my vacation next week!

To make matters worse my brother tested positive, knowing the symptoms now.. I've likely worked all week with the Covi!!!

Before I get a bunch of hate for exposing people.. I didn't. With my guys out nobody is is the shop but me, I have my own bathroom and I stayed in my office only coming out to fix things as needed just incase.

Get tested.

Likely free at your county health dept.

If positive, take appropriate measures.

If not, take measures appropriate to that situation.

Much better to actually know.

I had a "summer cold" a month ago. My symptoms aligned with the Delta criteria. I had my shots and it wasn't any worse than a regular old cold. I rapid tested and it was negative. It is what it is.

I've already kicked it, it's just mucus at this point. I had a doctor's visit scheduled yesterday for something altogether different, had it switched to a zoom meeting given the circumstances, he agreed that at this point it really wouldn't matter since I don't need medicine.

That's why I didn't think anything of it, it's that time of the year, I slept outside and it felt like any other cold.. could have been? 3 people close to me, same symptoms, same time?? Probably was Covi.

I got it last Sep. Hardest part was lack of energy n the body aches. The VA offered me the shot in March, took it. Got Covid again in Aug but not bad. Unfortunately I can't be sure if the lesser effects was due to my own immunity from getting it in Sep or from shot or from both. I'm 55, 5'7" 215lbs powerlifter. I bench n deadlift a little over 400 still, run 3 miles 3x's a week. Gotta stay healthy out there.

I'm pretty sure I got it when it first splashed on the scene, end of February.. yeah that one was a doozy!!!

Just an FYI the "free" covid test takes 48 hours & the results aren't accepted by airlines.. The test they want costs $130...

My first VAX shot was Jan 28th
My second shot was 18 Feb
Team Pfizer
I drove 65 miles "one way" to get my shots

Then get tested for antibodies.

$10-$40 at Walgreens.

That way you will know.

EDIT- additionally, there a somewhat quiet movement underfoot to have
"natural" antibodies count the same as being vaccinated.

We'd love to have you join that movement.

Not entirely true.

My county health dept has the "non rapid" test as an option and it was free.

I told them specifically that my employer did not accept rapid test results.
Had to do it twice because of poor communication on their end.
The nurse physically went back into the building to get a different test kit.

Had the stuff in Dec., no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea, worst part: no taste or smell for about 8 days. Felt like maybe had a little wintertime cold.

Tequila (blue agave) or

One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer

I had it, actually the whole family got it at the same time, not fun but not horrible either. Super tied and felt crappy for 7 or 8 days, we all stayed home for 14 days and just like the other 99.94 percent of people we survived just fine. I wish there was a bigger (or any) push for antibody testing. I'm not getting the vaccine but i don't blame someone if they do. Imagine that, freedom over your own health.

Spread this to the ones that rely on miss info on the net

My neighbor is still recouping after getting laid out with it, put him in the hospital for 10 days. His wife tested positive but never really got sick, their SIL tested negative and has been fine, but he thinks he got it from his SIL.
His SIL is O pos, nobody else in the household knows their blood type.

Devlin glad it wasn't bad,
glad you're a healthy man
In Good shape & In Good spirits & healing, like 99%+
in good health all do

sounds like what I had almost 2 years ago now
when all this crap originated

get to the home projects while you can too

the rest just sucks

now better with "allegedly" 27 times better natural immunity
to ever get sick from the same SARS ****

just more statistics
