Back in August I sent in a request for information on my 67 GTX. Never received a response, are they still providing info on cars?

I had a response back from them in early October. They said they were trying to get back in office and they resume the service. They would go through the piles of mail they have. Maybe one day something will appear.

This is the email I recieved from FCA Historical Services in July 2021

Hello Dean,
We are still unable to do the research needed to answer your request, due to corporate guidelines, and have limited physical access to the archival records.
While we cannot provide a time frame as to when we will be able to assist you, I would expect that it will be towards the end of July, but there is no target date at this time.

Thank you for your understanding on this matter. We look forward to being able to help our customers in the future.

Well, I just sent them an email.
So we will see what happens next

From what I understood, 66 and 67 should be there 68 gets iffy and 69 and up are mostly gone but occasionally they do find one.

Hello Scott,

Thank you for contacting the Stellantis Historical Archives. At this time, we would like to thank you for being patient with us while we work through our backlog of requests with a limited staff and partial office hours.

To order a build record, please provide us with the information on our order form, which is attached. A copy of the title, registration, or notarized bill of sale is suitable. There are no exceptions to this policy. All orders will be answered in the order they were received and sent in the first quarter of 2022. A high resolution PDF copy of the build record will be emailed to you to help speed up the process.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We look forward to assist you with requests.

The often-legend "big fire" that wiped out years of records....
something about that story always struck me wrong, for some reason.

There're articles out there on what might have happened but they are all debatable and no conclusions have ever been reached. It's been quite awhile since I've read any. There's the fire story, water damage, someone told to throw them out, selling the building they were stored in and so on.

Thanks for the update. Could you please post the order form she had attached?

They were supposed to go through all the mail that had accumulated over the last 2 years but her response makes me think they’re claiming mail bankruptcy and starting over. I’ve had my request sitting there for almost two years now. Glad to see they’re back at it.

I have emailed Danielle back and forth a few times over the last couple years and she was great to keep me informed about the services being delayed . A month or so ago I got an email very similar to the one above , and sent my application off . Will be interesting to see how long it takes . I had one take only a couple of weeks , but that was pre covid .

I am inclined to send another request form to make sure I get in line. You can see that my last correspondence with Danielle was July 2021. Maybe I will drop her line today and see if she responds. Don't you wonder what her job description may be? Is she really in charge of this department or just placating us with a general response to keep us believing. Oh well, speculating on a result that may never happen is like looking for a numbers matching part that doesn't exist. Dream on!

I'd trust what Danielle says before GG. She's been very valuable in doing these and always replies to everyone's emails. They have been doing this for free. There was a time when you had to send in a check but as many can attest to, they never cashed them. So what does she have to gain from preforming this service but to help the car collectors and their documentation of their vehicles?
