I love watching all the "B" quality moonshine runner movies.

There seems to be an inexhaustable supply of them. I'm watching The Geogia Peaches right now. (Seems to be also called, Follow That Car.) Do you have a favorite?

A favorite? Moonshine or movies?

No favs but in general any old car B movie is ok with me. Some are available for free on archive.org too. I download from there and put them on my Plex server.

The guys are in a 1970 Charger. I still don't know what movie it is and he won't tell us...he is holding out for someone to get it.

He does look a bit like me. We both have strong chins. Actually, he looks to me like a healthy and young Dwight Yoakum, a country singer here in the states.
It is a funny thing....People will say that someone looks like YOU and so often, the person doesn't see it.
Our self image is a powerful thing. In my imagination, I look 35-40 but the mirror and pictures give me a slap of reality.

Me at 40.

The Charger was chasing a guy and a girl in a 70 Road Runner. I can't remember the name of the movie. Maybe Bad Georgia Road.

We have a winner..... "Bad Georgia Road" .... title song was called "Running Moonshine....down bad Georgia Road..."

Looks like the full movie is available on YouTube, that may be my Saturday night movie tomorrow.
The star was also in an episode of the original Star Trek that is pretty fondly remembered if you are into that.

If you're talking about "Bad Georgia Road" ...I managed to get a DVD of it some years ago and have watched it several times on my own big screen.
Love that blue 70 Road Runner sliding around the place.

It was one of the inspirations behind the "Dukes of Hazzard" TV show creation. That and a few other movies all rolled into the mix.

All of them are bad. :p
Kiwi race driver Rhys Millen did the stunt driving on the 'circle' roundybout in Georgia for that famous scene.......

....plus a lot more driving in the movie.

I was in Georgia in 2021. I loved the trees and green landscape. We went to Senoia to see The Walking Dead filming locations. What I saw was gorgeous.

Millen is an impressive driver. I'd love to learn from him.

I used to 'drift' my Road Runner like that before drifting was a thing.

Going home after work, I would take the corner of my street sideways in second gear and smoke it a decent stretch. In the wet was fun also.

I've always said about guys who skid on grass is that if that's all you got.....it's not worth the effort. Smoking the tires at speed on the road is showing a bit more skill.

It is.
the Dukes of Hazzard inspired me to go drifting on dirt. I still love doing that. With no buildings or other cars to hit, the only risk of damage is to my own car.

Another frame still from Bad Georgia Road

Wet clay roads are fun too.

Back in the 90s I was the night guard on the site that would become the port of LA. Part of that property was was also Brotherhood Raceway park for awhile. Its also the place where they crash at the end of the first Fast and Furious movie, if you notice big white pipe things in that scene I used to walk around inside those at night.
Anyway it was just all this open dirt and some small paved sections and a company was stupid enough to leave me there all night every night for a year or so and I got to live out many stunt car fantasies inspired by the Dukes. I didn't jump anything tho, had to draw the line somewhere!
