Hi all,

So far, the only USA made wheels I've found (I think) are by OER at Jegs. Their webpage says made in USA. Wondering if anyone can confirm this OR if anyone knows of good quality 15x7 4.35" BS Magnum 500s. I've seen the various threads on different manufacturers, both good and bad, and so far this is the only one I can find that actually says "made in USA".

Thanks,
Mikey

I always take the made in U.S.A. label with a couple of pounds of salt. Made in Canada also.

True.. Made in Canada works, too. Heck, almost anywhere, as long as the quality is good and won't rust after driving in the rain.

Ihave set of Made in USA t-thrust wheels. They have become harder and harder to find especially in good sizes for Mopars. I scored a set of 15x8.5 rears and 15x6 front runners. The guy I bought them from when to 18-in Wheels LOL. I felt bad for him.

If you have a set of original 14” rims, take them to a wheel shop and ask them to add 15x7 bells with what ever back space. Works great.
Have had our 15x8 and 15x7’s since 2016. Might have 15,000 miles on them. The car has been driven in some heavy downpours.

Can you name anyone that does this east of the Mississippi in the US?

I've been looking for over 15 years.

Surely someone is making specialty wheels. We have two in our city, about 350,000 people. But we are west of Mississippi and north of the Missouri.
Nowhere land.
Check out custom car clubs. Ford rims will work, they had a 15x7 factory chrome rim. Their centre's need to be reamed out I believe, to fit over the front hub.
My friend has 4x15x7 Ford rims on rubber. Don’t know if he has sold them yet. These are all chrome.
He is driving to Carlisle, probably next Monday. I don’t know what or if any hassles he might incur with all of the new regulations.

I have a friend here, that "rehoops" painted wheels on his brake lathe.

Unfortunately I need chrome "shells" for my Motor Wheel Spyders.
...and they have small steel inserts in the allow centers to weld the shells to.

There are only two places that I am aware of that do this.

They are both west of the Mississippi and neither has a great reputation.
Most reviews say poor communication and possibly years for turnaround time.

You got two places in your city??

BTW- ford Magnums (like all Magnum 500 wheels) do not have center registers.

The center hole, which locates the rim on the axle or hub if it had NO lugs to do so.

Before you mount tires on, get them spun to see if they're straight. There have been wobble issues listed by others with Wheel Vintique made units. Combo that with out of round reproduction tires and you'll have a fun ride.

If you’re not stuck on metal rims, American Racing has polished aluminum Magnum 500’s.

Careful die grinding to have the Ford wheel fit the hub works extremely well. Didn’t notice any lugs.

Did you read what I wrote?

Do I have to find the pic I posted a few times ago when this topic came up that shows the backs of Magnum 00's?

There is NO register. No grinding.

Thanks Hunter. I was looking at those but, to me, they don't quite seem to have the same look. I'd actually kind of prefer aluminum just due to the weight savings but would also really like to see them on a 68/69 Coronet. Might be worth considering.

Thanks,
Mikey

The Ford 15x7’s would not fit over my factory hubs. I had to enlarge them.

That's interesting.

I've got ford 15x7 and they fit on everything I own 66-74.

How in the world did you manage to enlarge the rear without cutting through the center?
