I thought advertising is designed to increase sales.

Since then, Jaguar’s sales have tanked by 97.5% in Europe. Across the entire continent, a mere 49 vehicles were registered in April 2025. Between January and April, Jaguar only sold 2,665 units, marking a 75.1% sales decline year-to-date. Worldwide, the company sold 180,833 units in 2018. But in fiscal year 2024/2025, that number plummeted to 26,862 units.

The whole modern art thing in my opinion is crap. I had to take 9 hours of art history for my undergraduate degree. One class was The History of Modern Art. With a giant book we were required to buy. They lost me when Picasso bolted a urinal to a wall and called it art. "It's art because I say it's art." Same thing with a banana taped to a wall with duct tape.

Here's the scam in a nutshell. The rich people say modern art is great and they get it. The unwashed masses just don't have the ability to appreciate it. So they pay crazy prices to make it look like they are above the lesser society. They don't like it either but their egos demand it.

The urinal might not be art,but you would walk right by the Mona Lisa to get to one if you needed it! The Jaguar ad was a true Bud Light moment for them!

Jaguar sales in Europe plunged a shocking 97.5% following a botched rebrand that included a commercial featuring men in skirts to announce its upcoming pivot toward an all-electric fleet…

The luxury British automaker registered just 49 vehicles in Europe in April, compared with 1,961 vehicles in the same month last year, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.

Sales between January and April plummeted 75.1%, with just 2,665 cars sold across the continent.

Jaguar was overweight junk in the 70's and 80's, don't know if it got any better since then.

Ever notice there are two different horizon lines behind Mona? I do like French Impressionism but it's easy to do. You just stop when your painting is half done.

A friend of mine has a 2017 F-type equipped with a manual transmission. Trouble free.

Gorgeous car. Rides nice too.

Jag sales are tanking from the threat of an all electric fleet, not the disgusting stupid add (that I never saw).
Nobody who loves Jags wants a Jag golf cart.

Don't know much about newer ones, especially when owned by Ford.

Ford sold it to Tata Motors (what a name!) of India and formed Jaguar-Land Rover around 2013. Is 2013 back in the day yet?

They just get passed around the beer hall like Chrysler. :p

Just watched the commercial. Creepy! Didn't make me want to buy a car; change the channel, likely.
