God you must have been a treat to work for Bob.
ABSOLUTELY.....Well, let's round up some of the 85 craftsmen (welders, pip fitters, mill-wrights, electricians, laborers, firemen) when I ran the maintenance department of the local chemical plant which included the president, vice-president and chairman of the grievance committee of the local union.....and ask them what they thought......

I heard they applied to do one of these for you

Which chemical plant? I might know some of those folks.

I'm sure they all thought you were an over controlling dick!

I've had over 500 employees work for me in the past 40 years. 485 of them would come over for supper AND bring the beer. The other 15 are dead.

Originally the plant was called Vulcan Detinning, which was purchased by Vulcan Materials Company which was purchased bt AMG Resources Company. They chemically detinned tin plate scrap (cans, sheet steel, old gas meters), compressed the detinned steel scrap into 20"x20"x24" long #1 factory bundles sold back to the steel industry as electric furnace scrap, recovered the metallic tin electrolytically as metallic tin, which was turned into tin chemicals....stannic chloride anhydrouus, stannous chloride, stannous sulfate, sodium and potassium stannate. The plant is closed.....I doubt anyone is still around to ask questions of.......

So you killed them all
Bob..... ;0) First you're gonna round them up for comment and next none are available for comment!

I have to agree with Bob, TV shows like Hogans Heroes for example where the media portrayed that horrible war as just fun and games. It was obvious they were being paid by thise who profit by war.
Hogan's Heros was just another tired 'shitcom'.....

I can’t remember which one , Col Klink , or Schultz. Their family was effected by the Nazi reign and he drastically changed the script , and refused any script that would show an ounce of intelligence to his character as a “revenge” to the Nazi party , and they enjoyed portraying the Nazis as complete idiots

To see that show now....I don't care for it but when I was 14 or so, it wasn't bad. I'm just glad they didn't make a sitcom of the Nam days. Don't think anyone in their right mind would do that but there's a lot of people in the sitcom industry that are not in their right mind. One is Three and a Half Men even though it was funny *** stuff. And I know it wasn't 3 and a half men....

As the old expression says....."kill them with kindness (and fairness and consistentcy).....or...if one believes in scriptures (depending on one's personal beliefs)...."do unto others as they would do unto you" or patience is a virtue as some people need a little extra persuasion and help .....a great manager knows his/hers people's strengths and shortcomings and adjust the presentation according to the audience's capabilities and circumstances.......people management #101........
