Thanks. Do you know if the straps look prebent where they meet the tank at the filler end? Mine just bend slightly right at the tabs only and then the strap is straight coming back.
Well I had a hell off a day trying to put a new gas tank in my 70 Roadrunner. I have a Right Stuff tank and AMD straps, bolts and OER neck. The bracket on the neck would not work because it sat to low so I removed it. The straps have no bend at all at the filler end ( completely straight) and...
Thanks. The guy who painted my car knew exactly when I called him and said right off it is Suede lacquer. It ended up being $110.00 his cost from PPG. The mixing codes are not even in his machine. I dropped off the pieces to be painted and will post some picks in a few weeks when I get them back.
Sorry. I sent the others back to PG. I had wrapped the new Mopar stuff back up for now, but I got the most important piece back out to show. Way better than the current PG Classic stuff. Now I have to call PG and argue about why they did not credit my shipping back.
Just got my dash plastic from Mopar and it is amazing compared to the current PG stuff. No mold issues and the detail is awesome. Still to expensive at Mopar's pricing, but way better quality.
Depends on how high your compression is. I use Felpro performance blue permatorque head gaskets as long as your below around 11:1. Higher than that go multilayer like a Cometic.
Well I think I found the factory color for my 1970 Roadrunner column is medium tan Metallic Lucite code 9772L. I have some original paint on one of the collar pieces up top and it is definitely tan metallic. I cannot even find any paint shop to reference the Lucite code. I would love to get it...
Like others have said M&H harness from Year One or Megaparts is the only way to go. All other harnesses are just street rod or GM listed as Mopar. Call Painless or American Auto wire and ask them if they have a harness that is really for a Mopar.
Felpro or MR Gasket Ultra seal. Need a valley pan separate with either. Depends on how high your compression ratio is, but you may want to buy better quality head gaskets separate.
