10.4's/ 1/4 mile - 6.9's/ 1/8 mile... Haven't run since put light weight glass bumpers & brackets, between that and the former owner removed 200# approx. Gary

Tested my sons 62 Savoy tonight with the tire spin fix.

Preload, car weight balance, front and rear shock valving, and tire pressure for greasy tracks - with radials it's harder to kill the sidewall. I know I'm preaching to the quire! Gary

Doug, sounds like a great combo. Perhaps get the weight of the car/ driver down to 3150 may run 9.20's with less than 500 cu. in. Good suspension tuning is the Magic bullet!!! I'm installing sliders to the Calvert split mono's on the 62 "Sinister" Savoy... Gary

Doug, great video and suspension information... Probably won't make it to the track this year, been busy doing a final cut and buff next will be some suspension upgrades (installing sliders on my cal-tracs)! Gary

NDRL race in St Louis, Update and results

Fortunately for me the wheelie at launch is good, rear suspension is caltrac split leaf mono with cal adjustable shocks and cal 90/ 10's in front - may be different now with glass bumper & light weight brk'ts! Not much room left for tire size (Hoosier 29x9x15). Have a few things left on the list...

Well, a little bit more is a wide-open statement! To get to 9.0 options my .02 - wheelie time vs forward movement (lost motion), wheel speed, rear gear ratio, tire pressure, Center of Gravity! The balance of the car is good and goes straight and you have plenty of Data to find the sweet! Gary

NDRL race in St Louis, Update and results

Good to hear all went well organizational wise, perhaps it time to test and tune (no ballast, and WOT) for index choice - it may be time to grab the parachute - keeping in mind I'm smoking a Cuban cigar and sipping on some good Bourbon - :D Gary
