I just got mine back from blast and paint last week. I will be putting mine in sometime this summer. Will keep you posted. The project has been very slow....money issue like everything else right now...lol. It looks like a direct fit just from sizing it up now that it is laying under the car...
I just bought a 2010 Challenger RT Classic. It has what is referred to as functional hood scoops. Hood design is very similar to our 73/74 hoods. After talking to the Dodge boys at the dealership, the design is actually to pull hot air out from under the hood thus lowering under hood temps...
My 74 GTX is finally painted and striped. It looks great. I need to know if there are special rivets for the fender tag or are they just your standard pop rivets. I know the VIN has specific rivets. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Will get some pics up after I get the car back to the house...
I am going today to get the BB K frame out of the 79 Cordoba. I will let everyone know how it fits in a few weeks when we get to replacing it. Keep your fingers crossed, it seems most sources believe it should bolt in with little to no problems.
Thanx, Clay
Here are a few Engine pics just after the build a few years back. All there except the A/C and Engine driven fan. If this were more of a daily driver the A/C would have to go back on, but alas all she sees is the race track and car shows, with the occasional run to the parts store or...
Here is my 72 Sebring Plus. The quickest 318 in a Fully clothed B-body in Texas :} Of course no one in their right mind would build a 318 for a 3825 lb car and driver, then go to the race track. But hey 8.50 @ 76mph (best time) in the 1/8th ain't to shabby for a fat girl...
That's kinda the info I've been getting, it should fit with the only differences being possible upgrades to the K member it's self. So i am going to pick it up this weekend and we'll know for sure after that. Thanx for the input.
Clay
Is there a difference between the 71-72 rear quarters and 73-74's?? You can get the 71-72 rear quarters and patch panels. I thought the rears were the same for 71-74. I know the front fenders are different but I thought from the A Pillar back they were the same car.

Depending on who you talk to and where you get your info, the production number may be as low as 79 made. Per the Motorbooks International Dodge & Plymouth Muscle Car Red Book, the number is 79. But there is a lot of debate on how accurate that number is. I have a real U code GTX as well, pretty...
Will a BB Cordoba K member Fit in the 73-74 B-body and if so are the engine mounts on the K member in the correct location for our 73-74's. I need a BB K member for my 74 GTX as the original was very rusty and actually looked like it was delaminating around the Isolator Bushing area on the...
Here is a link to my cardomain page. It has pics of pretty much all of the mods I've done to her. Internally she is all MaMopar except for the Keith Black Pistons. She even has her original Cast Crank. Hope this shows you what can be done to the 318 and have a very well respected Powerplant...
360 heads are not a good option unless you change the pistons or do some head decking, you will lose what little compression ratio you already have. Stick with a set of mid 80's swirlport heads. That's what I used with the larger 360 valves, better combo for the small port 318. Just my 2 cents...
I built a 350 hp 318 that is very streetable and blast to drive. It sits in my fully streetable 72 Satellite Sebring Plus. 10:1 motor that runs on Premium street gas. Under it's current configuration with an Edge Performance 3400 Stall Converter and a 3.91 Sure Grip Rear Gear, she runs 8.50's at...
