318to440charger

Always wanted the 1969 Dodge Charger since I was 8 years old. I finally got one at 52 years old. Unfortunately, It's more rust than car and the engine is an unknown 1978 engine code 440 and doesn't seem to fit quite right in the 318 car that this was originally. I am a shade tree mechanic at best doing brakes on hyundais and nissans; oil changes and such. I did a motor swap on a 2005 Monte Carlo with a lot of help from a friend. I don't know much about Mopars but I do know that what I don't know is enough to fill the oceans. I am hoping to find help here with what experts may call 'simple stuff.'
