I am curious to see what peoples on track results are when they start buying these heads. TF makes good stuff. Little hard to believe these dyno numbers with only a 295cc intake port size. But time will tell!
Don’t blame you there one bit. I’m the same way. Happy you found the issue before spending bunch of money for port work. Maybe this will cost you less in the long run. Get new heads that are pressure checked, ported, valve job, guide fit, and you may pick up the power you’re looking for.
Thanks Doug. We typically run ultra grey or optimum at the corners of the head gaskets. I’ll surely be looking there closely though when we fog it down this weekend. His valley tray was the culprit along with some of the valve cover hardware last time we fogged it.

First things first, fix the vacuum leak. We are going to use a smoker/fogging machine to find out where we are leaking crankcase vacuum. Did this earlier in the year and it was coming from the valley plate. Pulled intake, made some modifications and boom, vacuum where it should be. After one...
I’ll be there Doug as well as a bunch of us from our crew. I bought a motorhome today and my dad is going to use it to tow his roadrunner out Thursday evening and I won’t make it till Friday evening but none the less. Will still be a good weekend.
Happy you found out why you went toward the tree. I only raced at Muncie one time and I thought it was a very well prepped cool old school track. Sucks you guys couldn’t get your son’s car to hook but happy you got pointed in the right direction. Best of luck at your next race.

With the book you bought, follow it and you’ll be fine. Hole in the bench helps with assembling the rear clutch especially the piston with the inner and outer lip seals. I also stack up the front and rear drums on the pump and do an air check outside the case before install. If you run Teflon...
