Well your first problem is that you used Champion plugs. I have used Autolite or NGK for decades. Have reused gaskets many times with no issues.

En Engine parts/Engines are very expensive, oil is cheap. Follow the cam shaft/lifter manufactures specific recommendations, save your receipts, it's the only way you will get them to honor any warranty there may be on your new parts should something fail. Shoot a video of the break-in.

I have a 1966 Satellite, the hood rattles. The front hood adjusters are in place, but I noticed the the mounts in the rear corners of the engine bay are empty. Can anyone tell me which adjuster or bumpers go in the rear? Where can I get them? A picture would really help. Thanks in advance
