64 polara, has 68 440 w/holley 4bbl, dual exhaust, push button torqueflite, runs and drives good, seats are being recovered as I speak, have a 3:55 sure grip 3rd member for it and a hood scoop. torque thrust on front black steelies on back. also have a set of headers for it. $7000.00 thanks
I am going to do the drum mod on my rear end. I just asked about the axles because a friend of mine builds 8 3/4 rear ends for a bodies. Makes his axles with the Yukon cut for fits. Neither of us have had one of these tapered axles apart. Just getting info. Thanks everyone
I have a '64 polara, will the '65 to 70 (I see a difference in the years) rear end housings bolt directly into my car? I know YUKON makes a cut to fit axle. could I swap out axles on my rear end to get away from the castle nut 64 axle? thanks
i have noticed that a lot of guys have changed the rear end to a later model
I run 15x8 4 1/2 back space and 255's are the biggest that fit my car. I had 275's but they rubbed bad with a stock rear 1964
2 American racing 15x4.5 torque thrust wheels with 165/15 tires
2 wheel vintique 15x8 with 4" back space black steel wheels with 255/60 tires
wheels were bought new 2 years ago rear tires are 1 year old all only have a couple hundered miles on them
5x4.5 bolt patteren off my 64 dodge polara...
ok here is what i came up with. i was messing around with the engine and figured i would start to pull the head. removed the valve cover and found a bent push rod. got a new push rod and put the engine back together, installed a new fuel pump and tried to fire it up. it ran but was horrible...
