Mine doesn't look like any of the photos. Tell me, I haven't taken apart my lighter, but if you can maybe I can use my knob with the working portion of yours. Do you know if that can be done? I have attached photos of what my lighter looks like.
I am looking for a working cigarette lighter for my '67 Belvedere. I already have the knob , just need the working portion. I will even consider the whole unit if available. Please PM me if you have one for sale and what you would want for it. Thanks. 67PB2SS
Been cleaning out the garage for a move and came across this hood scoop (see photos). I don't need it and I'm only asking a $1 and postage to cover the shipping from 82520. The make is YearOne with a part number of BB602. The dimensions are 34 1/2 inches opening, 26 inches across at the rear...
You probably know that ALL vendors are out-of-stock on this item. I'm appealing to anyone out there who has a pair they would like to sell. Channels, pins and clips are needed. Will pay a fair price. Thank you. 67PB2SS
PM me when you find a pin. $50 for a OEM pin doesn't sound too bad to me. If you want your car to be correct and for the reverse lights to come on, you may have to just "bite the bullet" and purchase a pin.
A threaded stud could be a good choice. My trip pin is out of a '67 Belvedere donor car. From my pictures you can see that I took an extra step by using JB Weld. It's critical that the trip pin stay in the hole that it goes into. It has to take a lot of pressure exerted on it when it pushes...
The lever on the switch travels from right to left when it faces the firewall. The trip pin also travels from right to left going from low gears to park. When shifting from park to reverse, a complete circuit is achieved and the rear backup lights come on. They will turn off when the column...
Look over the pictures I posted and you will see two screw holes. On the other side is a single screw hole. These are for mounting the backup light switch. The switch is just inside the firewall. Is your switch like that?
I have looked over the wiring diagram and it is a straight shot yellow tr wire from the headlight switch to the parking lights. I have put my testing light on this wire and just like the parking lights themselves, power turns off when the headlights are turned on.
Whew..what a relief. I guess I assumed that the parking lights stayed illuminated with the headlights. A great big THANK YOU to dadsbee and 1 Wild R/T. What year did parking/running lights stay on with the headlights? I suppose it was something that the Government required at some point.
Can someone tell me what the problem is please Parking lights go when the headlight switch is on at the parking light position. The parking lights blink when the emergency flasher is turned on. The appropriate parking light blinks when the turn signals are activated. The problem comes when...
As Jerry mentioned, I am restoring a '67 Silver Special Belvedere. My tag has much of the same info mentioned previously including:
j4 = body sill mouldings
m9 = delete body side mouldings
Y5= silver vinyl top
TRM = H4A = Silver Special interior
PNT = AA1 silver poly
SB = black stripe
I...
