Sorry I should have put this in the Lost and Found section. Any other ways to come up with a lost VIN?

I have looked for the vin and have not come across it yet, I'm still hoping they have some old papers around. I called insurance and there records only go back to 79. I should have put this in the original post but the car did have the ram charger hood and side scoops also.
