I am wondering if anyone here has had experience with the AMD reproduction bumpers? I am looking at getting a pair for my 71 GTX as the originals are in really bad shape, twisted dented and the rear has a hole from where the trailer wiring plug used to be.
Anyone have an opinion on whether...
Same as a lot of people here, I'm into guns and hunting. I have 4 young children so we do lots of family trips to the zoo, hiking, camping, swimming ect.
Also I've got a CNC plasma cutter that is an awful lot of fun to play with.
I really like useful antiques like tools and such. Especially...
Well, as promised here are a few pics from when I picked my car up on Friday. It felt pretty awesome seeing it go down the road. Definitely a motivator to get this baby up and running!
Hi all, I haven't been overly active on here for a long time. Lots going on in life. Just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know I haven't stopped working on my car! Here are a couple photos of the fresh paint. I pick it up from the body guy on Friday so I will have more to post then...
In a previous career, I spent 10 years or so rebuilding engines. We used a pile of those engine tech kits. I couldn't tell you an exact number, but I would estimate around 100-150 kits went into engines out of that shop. We never once had an issue with any of the parts. I wouldn't hesitate to...
I've run into the same problem with a couple of magnum small blocks. Spark like crazy at the coil but nothing at the plugs. Both times it turned out to be a weak coil. The spark wasn't strong enough to jump multiple gaps. Put a new coil and ran like a top.
I'm with Kern Dog on this one, the whole idea of needing back pressure to create torque makes no sense. The size of the exhaust pipes from the primary tubes back needs to be correct for the RPM range that you are targeting.
Although this is an article out of a Chevy magazine, there is some good...
As far as I know, any of the t-56 shifters that utilize the rear position will work. None of the mid-shift ones will fit. Core shifters has several on eBay, the ones with the billet housings look good. They sell them as a base only if wanted and also offer them with different pivot points to...
747, I don't know if you are running a wind age tray or not, but this wind age tray gasket combo looks like it would work very well.

For anyone interested in doing this swap, I stumbled across this module to control the reverse lockout solenoid using the VSS signal similar to how they were controlled from factory.

That crossmember looks really good, I don't think there'll be any strength issues there! I admire how fast you are getting this swap done, you'll be rowin' your own in no time!
I'm looking for a pair of front leaf spring hangers and shock mounting plates to fit my 71 GTX with an 8 3/4. When I was younger I had decided that I would put an RMS Street Lynx setup in this car and subsequently got rid of all the factory pieces. 4 children and several years later I have...
