I have the icon forged flat top with valve relief pistons for a .040 440. I'm not sure which one but it's whatever one will get you slightly above 10:1 compression with an 84cc...
@Darter6 that's great to know about the Schumacher headers going high 11's. A b body already has a nice amount of clearance to work on the engine but with the tri-y it adds more so it has been nice. Gears make more sense now.
I went drag racing for the first time in almost a decade. First time racing my 70 Charger and it was great. I drove 100 miles in bay area traffic to the track, bolted on my drag radials and got two runs in. I went a best of 12.6 at 106.
The engine combo is:

Update: The engine will have to be bored and honed. Luckily this still keeps it at .040. I really didn't want to spend a lot of money on this but it is what it is. The engine will be a lot better than what it was.

With a feeler gauge pistons appear to be about .055- .060 in the hole. I don't have a dial indicator.
Will hopefully by this weekend, have it fully torn apart.
Thank you for the detailed write up, I just installed one on my 70 charger too but I must say something looks wrong. The angle seems very harsh. There’s little to no power assist at idle. Any suggestions?
I will be pulling the engine, I just checked the engine casting date and it is a 68 Block. When I have the engine out of my car I will check to see how far down in the hole the pistons are.
I will check to see how far down in the hole the pistons are. I can still see some cross hatch in the cylinders so I guess that's a positive. Here are some more photos. I'm assuming the black line at the top of the cylinders is oil leaking from the valve stem seals?
@diesel_lv. My thoughts exactly. I didn't like seeing that. I don't know what upset me more, seeing the flat tops or the carbon lol. Made me think that there are a lot more miles on this engine than what I was told. Also, Oil pressure is about 40lbs hot and about 60psi on the freeway.
