It's good to know I'm on the same page with the rest of you. artr8, the flexplate i bought has the scallop. since i don't know how abused the converter has been prior to my buying the car, i was considering replacing it with this B&M converter...
Ok, I'm probably going to sound stupid here but, I'm tired of guessing. I'm hoping that someone here can lead me to my personal come to Mopar moment. I've got a 1974 Satellite Sebring Plus, 360LA BBL, 727 Torqueflite. I've rebuilt both the engine and transmission. I have a lot of vibration in...
I can identify with the frustration. I'm building my second '74 Sebring Plus. She's a rust bucket. My avatar is the car as I bought it 3 years ago. In those three years, i and some friends and relatives, have emptied my wallet repeatedly rebuilding my car. The HUGE benefit that I have is a...
Miller is right. Parking stinks. I didn't have a '60s model but, I did have 1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. Parking was always a PITA. The car was insanely comfortable and the 440 made it move surprisingly fast for a 4700 pound sled. Make sure you invest heavily in oil companies. My New...
I could check a couple of places up here, if you would be able to pick up if anything is available? I don't know if you're stuck checking locally only.
For my LA I used the following,
Comp Cams 20-223-3 lift .477/.480 duration 268/280
Speed Pro flat top w/ 5 cc valve relief
Stock crank and rods deck height pretty much 0
Headman Headers
Weiand Action+ intake
Stock heads unchanged J code
Carter Thermoquad 850 cfm
Sucks the gas but it runs...
I rebuilt the LA 360 in my Satellite and I'm pretty sure I'm in your horsepower neighborhood. That being said, I think you're probably better off with a magnum engine. That puts you much closer to your power goals right from the start than using an LA. You could probably find one that was...
Thank you very much Nacho! Thanks to you as well YY1 but, i've got $500 in this Ron Francis kit and, once i get it finished, every circuit will be new. Then i get to rebuild my engine with all the goodies i've piled up for it. :) i'll keep you in mind if i cross anyone looking for a factory...
Sorry I steered you so wrong YY1. I'm so glad you guys, Nacho-RT74 and ODZKing, jumped in to help! As you probably surmised, i was totally guessing. I should have stayed out but, I'm going wading thru every inch of wire in my Satellite. The guy I bought if from did such a hatchet job on my poor...
Do all of your gauges work properly? The brown looks like it may go to the Alternator field. The Black/Yellow Stripe may go the the A/C, if your car has/had A/C. The round connector could be the temp sending unit.
