You are correct. It is the electrolytic capacitor that goes bad. Replacement is easy. The unit puts out 240v AC.

Only the lower-level cars got the bezel. R/T and 500 did not, as they are trimmed out differently around the cluster. Your R/T does not use that bezel. And yes, your “catalogue” is Canadian- hence the spelling.

Super Bee had Rally cluster standard but it was optional on R/T.

There is absolutely no question that my red one is original. I bought the car from the original owner, unmolested and I’m still in touch with him. Mine is a convert, so it’s also a St. Louis car.
