Yes. It bounces like crazy. It also rattles like crazy. I haven’t taken it to get rebuilt yet. Life (aka kids) have gotten in the way.

All good suggestions. Gonna tinker with it and report back. So far placed a thin piece of cardboard between plate and ball. Holding well. Wanted to try that before “love tapping” the plate fir tighter fit.

Agreed. Different is good.

My .02 is run it. Since dash is cut anyway, it’s being put to good use. And it sure looks better than the under dash install or in glovebox options.

Tried that too 1st. Its the “bearing” in the speedo thats bad. Found a local shop that does rebuilds. Wanting to shop around and compare options.
