Converting 73 charger to 71-72 style bumpers.

Do you need different headlight brackets?

Difference between 71-72, and 73-74 charger suspension.

Hmm... Curious if it is even worth it to keep the charger then. Might just flip it and get a 70-72 Dart. Those things handle amazing when you do a little suspension work on em.

Can you just switch that mess out for a 71-72 setup?

I'm looking for handling. It looks like hotchkis makes a setup for the 73. On their website they do not show anything, but on summit, they do.

Converting 73 charger to 71-72 style bumpers.

For now, I think all I need is the brackets for the rear. I'll be taking the bumpers off tonight to see what I need. Just out of curiosity, how much do you want for each of them?

Converting 73 charger to 71-72 style bumpers.

Ok cool. Now it's time to start hunting parts. Anyone got a set of rear 71-72 bumper brackets? And a set of 71-72 headlight brackets?

Difference between 71-72, and 73-74 charger suspension.

What is the difference between the 71-72 , and the 73-74 Charger suspension? I see lots of parts, and suspension kits for the 71-72's, but not much for the 73-74's. Can I easily convert to the earlier suspension?

Converting 73 charger to 71-72 style bumpers.

Ok, I am getting mixed answers here. Are 71-72 brackets a direct bolt on for front and rear, or just for the rear? Also, are the 73-74 bumpers notched for the fillers?

Are you talking about the front or back? Or both?

I know that works for the back, but for the front i know there is a bunch of stuff you need, like headlight brackets and stuff. Just curious what parts exactly.

Converting 73 charger to 71-72 style bumpers.

What is all required to convert the 73 charger bumpers to the earlier style that fit close to the body. The bumper fillers for the 73 are impossible to find, and the earlier cars just look a lot better with the close fitting bumpers.

More pics up. Factory no a/c makes me really happy, firewall looks much cleaner. any of the rust you see is so thin, a little bit of scotch-brite wipes it completely off, gotta love california. Floor pans, and trunk have pretty much zero rust too. The car's original paint was Dark Silver...

Sweet ride! I love the way rally wheels look on these cars. Are there any 15"x8" rally wheels?

Want your opinions on dash pad cap, and carpet kit

Has anyone here installed one of those vacuum formed dash pad caps in their cars? The pad in my 73 Charger is all cracked, and i would like to at least cover it up for now. I plan on replacing the dash pad in the future, but for now i would rather spend $70 than $500. Just curious how they...
